Started by professional hunter, Jimmy de Smidt Sr. in 1980 and later joined by his son, Henry de Smidt, and grandson, Jimmy de Smidt Jr.  At Irene Safaris we give each of our clients a unique African experience, with good game management and excellent trophy quality.

Irene Safaris rely on you, the sport hunter, to support us to continue our dream of game conservation and further development of game areas.  The area extent 50 000 acres.  Base camp Tandala consist of a private hunting camp, furnished with all the necessities. 

 

Terrain range from rolling hills to savannah plains next to the Orange River.  We do bird hunting and fly fishing as well, all these activities can be combined.
